City-Ticket

City Ticket is a fare cooperation product of DB AG (German Rail), the Association of German Transit Companies (VDV) and the transport networks.

Anyone who uses a DB long-distance ticket (category Super Sparpreis, Sparpreis or Flexpreis), on which the area of validity of the fare zones Halle or Leipzig is indicated by the imprint “+City” can make use of it.

Fare information

Outward journey

• At the station of origin: on the 1st day of ticket validity
• At the station of arrival: on the 1st day of ticket validity
• in case of night journeys or interrupted journeys also on the following day (proof by last punch on ticket)

Return journey

• At the station of arrival: on the return date as printed on ticket
• At the station of arrival: on the return date as printed on ticket
• in case of night journeys or interrupted journeys also on the following day (proof by last punch on ticket)

The City Ticket ist not transferable to other people. It is valid for all inscripted travellers on the DB long-distance ticket as long as they travel together in the local public transport.

For the use of local public transport in the cities of Halle and Leipzig, the conditions of carriage of the transport companies of the MDV network apply.
